Answering my own question, the following works for me arguments: ["--script", $(inputs.blenderScript.path), "--input", $(inputs.inputAlembicMesh.path), "--output", $(inputs.outputAlembicCamera.path)]

To summarize: CWL Parameter References are in the form $( ), not ${ }.
